Hi everyone! Apologies for the long hiatus of journals. I thought that it would be great to begin the momentum by posting one at least once or twice a month.
The was a lot of things that happened to me this month. One of them being was that I lost my voice a couple of weeks ago. I found this quite tragic as it took place on a sunday afternoon, after a performing with the church choir. But the good thing was that it was a success. My family were very worried, particularly my older brother. He kept assuring me that my voice would return. My twin who came round to visit and my younger brother assumed that I was shouting. But I know from this that the road to recovery would time.
I had to cancel work for the week. The only thing that I drank was warm water, Honey, Lemon, and Ginger water and Lozenges. I took a lot of rest too plus I kept drawing too. My voice began to return somewhere on Friday and that was when I helped out one of my friends at Hyper Japan. I was incredibly excited as I always been to this event and enjoyed it. I bought a ticket for the next day and loved it even more.
By Sunday which was last week, my voice fully recovered. I was very pleased. There was another event that I went to as well. This was the Hackney Flea Market. I went to support my another friend who recently came back from Germany to promote his work. I was estatic to see him. Another great thing that happened that day was that I met Elizabeth Questret of
querstret.co.uk.It was really amazing to meet her as I bought some of her stuff from a comic shop called Gosh!. Alongside her, I met more great artists.
From seeing all these talented artists inspired me to keep drawing. I will also go back to my Japanese studying as I was on a bit on a hiatus for about a month. Plus I've now have a twitter account! You can follow me by this twitter name @CherishYork, I also have an instagram too which is cherish.york and new blog which is
cherish-york.tumblr.com.
There are a lot more exciting things that will be happening this week too. I'm very excited about it and I shall be telling you all. Enjoy the rest of the month and make the most of it too.
